LexisNexis hires Fast search. The deal gives LexisNexis a greater footprint in the legal enterprise market and highlights Fast Search & Transfer's growing presence in Web publishing. [CNET News.com]
Interesting.  Lexis goes outside for search to power its KM product.  West is developing its search in-house.  It will be intersting to see how the 2 compare.  Of course these services are very high-end, so don't expect to see them in law schools anytime soon.  Of course they would be great in 2 settings: clinics and managing scholarship.
