CoLinux Coolness. Recent developments on the colinux project suggest a great potential for bootstrapping the cross-platform distribution of other free software projects. [Meerkat: An Open Wire Service: O'Reilly Weblogs]

This dovetails nicely with a current discussion on the teknoids list about VMWare.  Nice to know that there is an open source possibility out there, at least in terms of running Linux natively on a Windows box.

Yes, the dreaded 'they don't mean anything, but we live by them' law school rankings out for this year.  Of note to me personally, Emory moves up to 23, well ahead of UGA, and my alma mater, Syracuse, drops from the top 100 into Tier 3.

Syracuse's drop comes as a surprise and runs counter to my thinking that winning the NCAA basketball championship last year would provide a recognition boost to help move SYR up a few spots.  Oh, well, can't win 'em all, probably a lot of Duke and UConn alums out there who were not happy with the Orangemen:-(

For the terminally curious see 2005 and 2004 details here. (thanks to an unnamed and inadvertant source for caputring these)
