Next De Novo Symposium Starts April 5

De Novo: April 5 Symposium: Internet, Law, & Culture:"The De Novo Symposium on Internet, Law, and Culture is scheduled for the week of April 5, and we are currently accepting submissions via e-mail. We intend this topic to be broad, ranging from pornography to the PATRIOT Act to private companies' collection and sale of data. "

Sounds intriguing.  I'll keep an eye on it.  This is an excellent example of how blogs can be used to enhance the educational experience of law students.  These symposia bring in a number of view points on variety of topics that most law students would never be exposed to.  The fact that the series is student run and independent of any institution demonstrates an eagerness on the part of these bloggers to adopt new tools and use them in creative ways.

Imagine for a second the potential impact of something like this if it were sponsored by a law school or an organization like CALI.

So begins another day at teknoids

Yet another thread about exam software. Yesterday it was IT managment, before that student printing (though the Mac angle was a bit different). Is there ever anything new in teknoids land? It wouldn't appear so. Surely there must be some new and exciting things to talk about? TB's post on centralized logging was good. What about web site redesign? Must be something...

I seem to remember at one time there being a survey about exam software.
We are evaluating ExamSoft and Securexam right now and I would love to
hear any horror/success stories about either one. I have seen a demo of
both applications, but it would be helpful to hear some feedback from
people who have used it.
Thanks,
Jamie Butler
