Written for Radio 8 using the Transmitter template, although you should be able to adapt it to other templates as well. You should also be able to add almost any Javascript code using this same process. Send me your comments and suggestions for improving it!

EasyMailings 0.1.2 EasyMailings reads in an ASCII text file of addresses and outputs mailing labels in Adobe's Portable Document Format. The labels are sorted according to U.S. Postal Service regulations, that is, by tray and then package. It prints a header at the start of each tray and package, which greatly simplifies the mailing party. It can print bar-coded labels (both address and tray). It has no GUI and requires somewhat laborious printer calibration.  [freshmeat.net]

LinuxWorld: How to Get Started Editing Video & Audio with Linux

"Originally, the plan called for record the readings using my Sony TRV36 Handycam, then use a pair of VCR's to do the editing. An ordinary home video project. One of the obstacles to executing that plan has been the fact that I don't have two VCRs. A recent story (see Resources for a link) about video editing on Linux, however, has me re-thinking the project. The question that had me going 'think, think, think' was whether or not I could toss the VCR editing solution and do the assembly and editing on my Linux desktop..."
