Active Calendar 0.6. Active Calendar is class that generates calendars (month or year view) as HTML tables. It supports calendar generation for the years 1971-2037 and can produce static calendars without any links or calendars with navigation controls and linked days. Is the Mambo project using stolen code?. Today a man named Brian Connolly posted an open letter to users of the Mambo content management system, threatening them with civil and criminal action if they continue to use Mambo. He claims that the Mambo project contains proprietary, copyrighted code that belongs to him and is currently in use in his customized Furthermore CMS. Is this the little brother of the SCO debacle, or a legitimate copyright infringement claim? [NewsForge] Connolly contracted with a programmer to customize Mambo.  The resulting code was contributed to Mambo w/o Connolly's permission.  Connolly says it is proprietary.  Fracas ensues.  We'll see a lot more of this sort of stuff as more and more folks spend money to modify open source software.  The real question here is: If I spend money modifing open source code, can I keep that code proprietary or at least stop its free spreading? 9:35:52 AM    comment []  trackback []
