UW IMAP software--RE: Problem with Outlook 2000 client and IMAP4rev1 v11.241:"Outlook 2000 is not case sensitive. It can't tell the difference between two subfolders with the same name, but different case. If a user creates a folder with the same name but different case, the IMAP server will in fact create it, but Outlook 2000 will from then on continuously fail in the manner in which you described. The fix is to use netscape, pine or some other client that is not braindead to delete the "duplicate" subfolder and then readd the mail server from Outlook (and not to create subfolders with the same name and different case)."
