Chris Lydon Web StudioChris Lydon Web Studio:"The studio shall fit in a single portable case (under-the-seat maximum size). It should contain everything needed. Power supplies and cabling must be organized and labelled so that Chris himself can set it up and break it down again in just a few minutes. "

This is an interesting bit giving details on how to create a portable audio studio that can create high qualty MP3's for webcasting. I see some potential here for using a similar setup to record lectures in class.

A new twist on viral marketing - Users who visit the site and view a video clip begin sending the e-mail invitation to their friends. The site achieves this because the video clip is not downloaded directly, but instead an ActiveX control is launched which not only displays the video, but also downloads and additional software component named "Internet Optimizer" onto the computer, which sends the e-mails.  [Ars Technica]

Oh, a EULA proceeds the installation of the "internet optimizer" and includes a provision allowing this variety of scum to use a persons contact list to send emails about the site.

According to Microsoft bulletin MS03-026, the flaw is in the way the remote procedure call used by Windows incorrectly handles messages sent over TCP/IP. It creates the potential for a buffer overflow. If successful, an attacker could take any action on a victimized system, including destroying data or running any application.
